Fish and seafood
Being a coastal town, Calais, and especially its restaurants, has plenty of fresh seafood on offer. If you love seafood, then take your cooler bag to any of these three fishmongers and stock up. Fruits de Mer (fish and seafood) are freshly harvested daily and sold on the same day. In particular shellfish are excellent. Try Huitriere Calaisienne (oysters) as well as coquille St. Jacques (scallops), crabes (crabs) and homard (lobster).
Alternatively, you could pop down to the tiny fish market by the Calais quayside and buy seafood from the fish stalls there.
